Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center

In developing the master plan for this hospital campus located in the heart of Amish country, Pond | Ecos took into consideration the region’s attention to water quality by designing a sustainable stormwater management system that uses rain gardens in the parking lots. Each parking bay drains into bioretention cells located in the 15-foot wide medians, eliminating most of the traditional underground storm basins and piping.
