Freedom Park / Moreland Gateway / Raingarden
When the Freedom Park Conservancy wanted to improve the Moreland Gateway section of the park, they asked Pond | Ecos to create a phased implementation plan that included new trailways, sidewalks and curb improvements, as well as a series of raingardens to improve drainage and reduce erosion problems caused by two headwalls. Future phases of the project will add more landscaping, including a gateway feature—a series of low curvilinear walls that undulate through the landscape at the Moreland Avenue entrance.
